As the first of the three support acts, Ryan Lauder had only enough time for four songs.

What a shame. Ryan, accompanied by a slide guitarist, performed a set of soulful folk numbers that left me wanting to hear more.

His beautiful songs and excellent vocals, occasionally bringing Richard Ashcroft to mind, which have secured him support slots with the likes of the wombats, The rifles, Kinky Freidman and Johnny Flynn ensured that I would be checking him out again.
